INFORMATION AND PRODUCT CARE
Sub floors need to be dry, level and sound prior to installation - the
necessary
checks need to be undertaken.
Humidity and temperature levels.
Wood reacts to changes in relative humidity. It may expand during the
summer
when humidity levels are higher and contract during the winter
when humidity
levels are lower. It is recommended that a relative humidity level
of 45-55% and a temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius should be maintained.
Heating systems, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, and ventilation may be
used to control these environmental factors. Humidistats are available
which allow humidity and
temperature levels to be monitored.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Vacuum or brush regularly
Use a damp, not wet, mop to wash your floor
Use dedicated cleaning products
Mop up spills immediately
Avoid wearing stiletto heels
Felt pads and castors should be used under furniture
Do not drag furniture or heavy objects across your floor
Place mats inside and outside external doors
Follow these tips and you will enjoy your wooden floor for many years
to come!
